Butaleja former Bunyole MP contestant Hamudah Sali Mugoya has died after collapsing at his home on Friday.
He was pronounced dead at Busolwe District Hospital where he was rushed by friends and family members when he collapsed at his home.
He was a Uganda People’s Congress member and also a businessman and dlDirector Busolwe Bright Light College, the first private secondary school in Butaleja District.
In 1990, Sali Mugoya became the second Bunyole County Youth Chairperson replacing Mr. Michael Wanje, a position he held up to 2001.
In the General Election of 2001, he contested for the Eastern region youth chair but lost to Mr. Jay Taana, who is now deceased.
Mugoya also enrolled for a degree in Education at Makerere University which he completed in 2004 and in 2006, he contested for Bunyole County MP seat but lost to Mr Emmanuel Dombo Lumala who was on NRM ticket.
The Butaleja District Deputy Speaker, Mr Yunus Hamira said the late will be buried his ancestral home in Budumba Sub County.
