500 NRM youths who were at State House on Monday afternoon demanding to see the president received shillings Shs. 30,000 to leave.
The youths demanded to see the President detailing the challenges they have gone through working with the NRM Secretariat since 2016.
However, by 9pm the youths couldn’t access the president as none of them could be granted access without an appointment.
The NRM General Secretary, Justine Kasule Lumumba showed up later and asked the youths to hand her their petition to the president.
She offered each of the youth shillings 30,000 as transport refund. Despite receiving the money, the youth leaders demanded to meet the president and were given an appointment of December 17th, 2019.
It is not the first time the youths are pitching camp at State house Entebbe demanding to see the president. In February 2019, the same youths stormed State House demanding to see the president but were turned away.
